Vikings stadium status

• A majority of the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor R.T. Rybak now support building a stadium in Minneapolis.

• A plan to create funding backstops for the state's share of stadium costs went through one House committee, but discussions didn't move further before the Legislature began its 10-day break.

• It remains far from certain whether any plan can make it through the Legislature, where many worry about casting a politically dicey stadium vote in an election year.
