WHAT'S NEXT FOR IRAN
April 13-14: The five permanent members of the United Nation's Security Council, Germany and Iran, are scheduled to meet in Istanbul for a new round of talks over Iran's nuclear program. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday that it will soon be clear whether Iran's leaders are prepared to have a "serious" discussion about its nuclear initiatives. The United States argues that Iran must dispel worries that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons. Iran insists its program is peaceful.
June 28: A U.S. provision begins that imposes sanctions on any foreign bank or company that continues to engage in oil transactions with the central bank.
July 1: A European oil ban on Iranian crude oil imports is scheduled to begin.
