POWER TRIO

Only three schools in BCS conferences have females at the top of their athletic departments. A quick look at the three:

SANDY BARBOUR, CAL

Formerly the AD at Tulane (named to that post at age 36) and deputy AD at Notre Dame before taking over in 2004 at Cal, where she has overseen an athletic program that has consistently finished among the top 10 in the Directors' Cup standings.

LISA LOVE, ARIZONA STATE (TOP PHOTO)

Took over in 2005, and Arizona State has won seven national championships since then. She came to ASU from Southern Cal, where she was previously the volleyball coach and administrator in the athletic department.

DEBBIE YOW, NORTH CAROLINA STATE (BOTTOM)

Hired at N.C. State in 2010 after being the AD at Maryland for 16 years. She has extensive administrative and coaching experience and has served in many national capacities, including as president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
