Good morning. The Wild had Monday off and resumed practice this morning.

Mikko Koivu didn't practice due to his undisclosed injury. He skated before practice and is "50-50" to go on the road trip, coach Mike Yeo guesses. Regarding the mystery with his injury, the Wild is trying to protect him because he is going to try to come back very soon and play with it. There's nothing else going on, for those that are emailing and tweeting me with conspiracy theories.

Greg Zanon is sick.

Also missing were all the injured guys -- Carson McMillan, Clayton Stoner, Mike Lundin, P-M Bouchard and Gui Latendresse. Jarod Palmer remains technically on the roster, but he's been in Houston recuperating for awhile.

Leadership expert, former Army Ranger J.B. Spisso, is currently running a motivational session with the team.

I wanted to let you know that I will be hosting a live chat on startribune.com Wednesday (tomorrow) at 10:30 a.m. as long as my Gogo Inflight, which is typically pretty reliable, is working at 36,000 feet.

I'll be flying to Ft. Lauderdale, so you can help me kill an hour's worth of flying time. So come up with some good questions regarding the Wild and the rest of the NHL and please join the chat.

Also, the high school boys' and girls' hockey playoffs are beginning. If you didn't know, the Star Tribune has a couple scoreboard apps for high school hockey for both the Android and iPhone. You can get to the apps by clicking this link.

Kent Youngblood is covering practice Wednesday. Talk to you next Thursday from Florida -- barring news.
