In watching the hearings on the proposed voter ID amendment from the Senate gallery, I have yet to hear any of the proponents preface their remarks with anything along the lines of "with the humility incumbent upon one whose authority is derived from an electoral system so flawed it cries out for amendment of the Constitution itself." They all seem pretty sure their elevation to office was not a miscarriage of the will of the people.MIKE BROTHERS, MINNEAPOLIS
