Wolves-Memphis game preview

Preview: The Grizzlies have lost three consecutive games and seven of past nine, and they dipped below .500 at 12-13 after Monday's 89-84 home loss to San Antonio. They played nine of their past 12 games on the road and now start a five-game homestand against a Timberwolves team they have beaten five consecutive times and eight of the past nine. The Wolves' only victory in that stretch was a 109-102 victory at home on Feb. 6, 2010.
Players to watch: Memphis C Marc Gasol is averaging career highs in points (14.8), rebounds (10.3), assists (2.8) and blocks (2.21) on .516 shooting. He's also playing a team-high 38 minutes a game. ... G Mike Conley ranks first in the NBA in steals with 2.57 per game (Wolves G Ricky Rubio is third at 2.33). ... F Rudy Gay leads the Grizzlies with 18.4 points and 6.5 rebounds after returning from shoulder surgery that ended his season early last year.
Injuries: Wolves C Darko Milicic missed Tuesday's game because of a sprained ankle and is questionable; F Kevin Love isn't hurt but will serve the second game of his two-game suspension. Grizzlies F/C Zach Randolph (torn knee ligament) and F Darrell Arthur (torn Achilles) are out, G Tony Allen (sore hip/knee) is day to day.
