Not too many people can say they've walked in Brett Favre's shoes.

Giants defensive end Dave Tollefson can.

Tollefson, who's in Indianapolis looking for his second Super Bowl championship ring, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about one of his duties as a rookie seventh-round draft pick of the Packers in 2006.

Because he had the same shoe size as the then-Packers QB, Tollefson had to break in Favre's shoes for him.

"He didn't want them to hurt his feet," Tollefson said, "so it hurt my feet."

Tollefson, who has five sacks as a backup this year, lasted only one season on Green Bay's practice squad before signing with Oakland. His impact on the Packers wasn't much, other than what he did to No. 4's shoes.

"They were his actual molded insoles. It was terrible. They needed them broken in and why not me? I wore the same sized shoe. I had to wear them during practice. It was terrible. It was killing me for weeks after that. ...When you're a rookie, you'll do anything."
