The Lynx have re-signed Jessica Adair, their back-up center last season. The 6-4 Adair averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 rebounds and shot 48.5 percent from the field in 31 regular-season games in 2011.

In the playoffs, she increased those averages to 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.

With a starting center who is 41 years old in Taj McWilliams-Franklin, who also recently signed, Adair's minutes could go up this season.

"We all saw the growth in Jessica's game as the season progressed last year," Roger Griffith, the Lynx's executive vice president, was quoted as saying in a Lynx news release. "She provided great energy off the bench and made tremendous strides in becoming an integral piece to our championship season.

"We're looking forward to watching her continued development and we believe the best is yet to come for her."

Phoenix originally drafted Adair with the 34th overall pick in the 2009 WNBA draft. She didn't make the Mercury roster and also was cut by the Lynx before the 2010 season, but came back to play in the last game that season.
