HOCKEY DAY MINNESOTA 2012, PRESENTED BY WELLS FARGO,
TO BE DEDICATED TO JABLONSKI FAMILY
SAINT PAUL/Minneapolis, Minn. – With the blessing of the Jablonski family, the Minnesota Wild, FOX Sports North and Wells Fargo today announced that the sixth annual Hockey Day Minnesota 2012 on Saturday, Jan. 21, will be dedicated to the family of Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player who suffered a spinal cord injury in a game last month.
The Wild, FOX Sports North and Wells Fargo will combine to host an all-day telethon as part of Hockey Day Minnesota, beginning at 9 a.m., raising money for the Jack Jablonski Trust Fund, which is set up through Wells Fargo. Operators will be at Xcel Energy Center standing by to take donations. Fans throughout the State of Hockey and beyond are encouraged to call the number on the screen to donate. Volunteers from the Benilde-St. Margaret's School RED KNIGHT VOLUNTEER CORPS will be assisting with operating the phone bank.
In addition, there will be an online auction including Wild-related "experiences" such as lunch with General Manager Chuck Fletcher and Head Coach Mike Yeo, or a special night in the "Elite Seats" on the glass between the team benches, with proceeds going to the Jablonski family. More details on the experiences will be announced soon.
Hockey Day Minnesota 2012 on FOX Sports North, presented by Wells Fargo, will include over 16 hours of consecutive hockey-related programming designed as a celebration of the game from peewees to pros.
