Afternoon from the X.

Just got done meeting with Mike Yeo.

Colton Gillies, scratched last game, will re-enter the lineup against Phoenix and Brad Staubitz will be scratched for the second time this season and first since Oct. 27. Matt Kassian stays and will play on a line with Jed Ortmeyer and Warren Peters. Gillies will play with Kyle Brodziak, and either Nick Johnson or Darroll Powe will play with Matt Cullen and Pierre-Marc Bouchard. But Yeo said the lines will be jumbled.

Jarod Palmer is out with an upper body injury.

The big news is Jared Spurgeon is a game-time decision after feeling good this morning. If he plays, I'd think Justin Falk is scratched. I'd think you'd want to give Greg Zanon more time with Marek Zidlicky the way the pair's played the past two games.

Mike Lundin is scratched again.

Yeo was funny on Kassian, calling it a "productive two minutes last game. Let's see if we can't at least double that."

He also joked about Kassian's three seconds of ice time in the third -- a fight with Darcy Hordichuk. Yeo said he was shocked when Tom Renney started the fourth line and wondered, "What do you do here because we had the lead? But I decided to put our [fourth line out]. Hey, why not have some fun? The crowd was into it."

Yeo is referring to the fact that it was obvious Renney started the fourth line with Hordichuk with the purpose of another fight between Hordichuk and Kassian.

Talk to you after the game.
