Update: The Wild have put Casey Wellman (wrist) on injured reserve and sent Cody Almond back to Houston. The Wild has called up Chad Rau and Jed Ortmeyer.
Rau, from Eden Praire, played at Colorado College. He will be making his Wild debut.
Post-practice update: Coach Mike Yeo said he was going into tomorrow's game not expecting to have either Mikko Koivu or Pierre-Marc Bouchard. That's not to say neither will play. He just thinks it's easier to prepare that way. Bouchard said he felt good after practicing, but stopped short of saying he was ready to go.
Much will depend on how both feel tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, defenseman Marco Scandella, who took a puck off his ankle Saturday, said he was fine.
It is shaping up to be a rather busy day for the Wild, which is currently practicing before flying to Vancouver.
As of right now, here is the news we know:
--Mikko Koivu (leg) and Pierre-Marc Bouchard (broken nose) are both practicing with the team, which is good news. I will ask coach Mike Yeo about their status once practice ends.
--Marco Scandella and Colton Gillies, both dinged up in Saturday's game vs. the Islanders, are on the ice.
--Cody Almond has been sent back to Houston.
We're expecting the announcement of a couple call-ups from Houston later today. Along with that, a player currently injured should be placed on injured reserve.
Devin Setoguchi (lower body), Gui Latendresse (concussion) and Casey Wellman (wrist) are not practicing.
I'll update you when the other shoe (skate) drops. Until then, have a good day.
