The Twins have signed free agent infielder Sean Burroughs to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training, a source tells our La Velle Neal.
Also, the Twins have re-signed catcher Rene Rivera to a minor-league deal with a spring training invite.
No bid on Darvish
Today was the deadline for teams to submit posting bids for Japanese pitching sensation Yu Darvish. The Twins did not bid because they expected the price to be sky high.
Update: The Twins also signed RH P.J. Walters to a minor-league deal with a spring invite. Last season, Walters made five appearances, combined, for the Cardinals and Blue Jays and posted a 7.20 ERA.
