Daniel Turpen is the player to be named in the Kevin Slowey trade to Colorado.

Turpen, 25, was 2-4 with a 4.83 ERA and 11 saves at Class AA Tusla last season. In 59.2 innings, he walked 35 and struck out 33. He will be assigned to Class AAA Rochester. A side-arming reliever who relies on ground ball outs. This will be his fourth organization.

One scouting report claims Turpen throws 93-94 miles an hour an with above average change up and slider. That does not show up in the stats.

Last December, Turpen was taken by the Yankees from the Red Sox organization in the Rule 5 draft. But he was returned to the Red Sox during spring training and later traded to the Colorado organization.

Turpen will be assigned to Class AAA Rochester.
