Minnesota Republican activists will begin their New Year's Eve by selecting a new leader.

The party has scheduled a meeting of its Central Committee for 9 a.m. on Dec. 31 to select a successor to Tony Sutton. Sutton resigned on Dec. 2.

There are 440 delegates who can participate in the decision, a party spokeswoman said.
