The date 11/11/11 is becoming an excuse to party, but KARE-11 has found a more valiant way to celebrate. The NBC affiliate is taking nominations for Minnesota non-profits that are making a positive difference in the community. Those who are selected will get a check for $1,100. If you want to nominate someone or an organization, send a paragraph (no more than--yep--111 words) to share@kare11.com Deadline is noon Wednesday.
Winners will be announced throughout the day on Friday (the 11th) during all news programs, which will feature live audiences.
