Six Minnesotans are among the seven leading scorers for the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League through 10 games.

Forward Mario Lucia of Wayzata, the son of Gophers coach Don Lucia, is second on the team in scoring with eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points. He has four goals on power plays.

Third through seventh in scoring are forward Connor Reilly (6-12--18), forward Joey Benik (2-13--15), defenseman Mike Reilly (5-6--12) and forwards Ryan Reilly (5-5--10) and Steve Fogarty (5-2--7).

The Reilly brothers of Chanhassen have all committed to the U, Benik of St. Francis has committed to St. Cloud State, Fogarty, of Edina, to Notre Dame as has his buddy Lucia.

Two other Minnesotans on the Vees roster are forward Garrett Hendrickson, of Virgina, a SCSU recruit (1-2--3) and defenseman Chad Bannor of Hermantown who is pointless in seven games.

The Vees are in first place in the seven-team Interior Conference of the BCHL with a 7-2-0 record and one overtime loss for 15 points. They play the Venon Vipers on Friday. The Vees are averaging 5.6 goals per game and giving up 2.9 goals.
