Rick Reilly has a poignant column on ESPN.com about Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001. In it, he describes the heroism of Tom Burnett, the Bloomington native who quarterbacked at Jefferson High and Saint John's University. Burnett was one of several passengers onboard that United flight who overpowered hijackers and foiled their plot.
The Gophers are planning a tribute to Burnett, who finished his degree at the university's Carlson School of Management, at Saturday's football game against New Mexico State. Members of Burnett's family will attend and be honored on the field before the game.
