INTERGENERATIONAL CAN'N AND JAM'N offers parents and grandparents an opportunity to join kids and grandkids while harvesting produce and learning canning and preserving skills. 6:30 p.m. today, Aug. 10, 17 or 24. CAN'N & JAM'N KIDS CAMP. Kids will harvest veggies, learn about good harvest practices and the importance of healthy food, and will make pickles, salsa, jam, salads, garden crafts and more. 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 8-12 (ages 11-15) or 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 15-19 (ages 6-12). PRESERVING THE SEASON. Demonstrations on how to preserve and use local produce all year long, including canning techniques, and create recipes based on seasonal produce. BASICS OF HOME CANNING: SAFETY FIRST.
