Flint Hills International Children's Festival

Families can expect a little twirl, a little tumble and lots of giggles and fun at this annual event. Performing artists from around the globe will entertain, including the Puppet State Theatre Company, Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Dance Ensemble and others. Make your own creation at the art-making tents. Visit a butterfly garden and view a wide variety of dance groups, musicians and more. For a small fee, guests can view performances of "Corbian the Dinosaur," "The Man Who Planted Trees" and more.

Free First Saturday

Kick off the opening of Open Field for some art-related outdoor fun. Build and decorate a wooden airplane and fly it off a Whitney Bridge-inspired launch. The mobile creative outpost invites kids to invent a new level of fun using their imaginations. To cool off, go inside the Walker and check out its exhibits.
