Rep. Michele Bachmann may not have declared she's running for president yet, but she's trying to raise money like she's making a bid for the White House.

Bachmann sent a fundraising e-mail Wednesday morning declaring she wants to raise $240,000 in 24 hours through online contributions with a "money bomb."

The Minnesota Republican says the goal is to make President Obama "a one-term president." She doesn't explicitly mention in the e-mail that she's considering running, though she does allude to it by saying: "My family and I are prayerfully considering what the next 18 months or so may bring."

She also put out a video to go with the fundraising pitch.

Bachmann set House fundraising records in 2010, raising $13 million, in part by hauling in lots of small-dollar donations. But she'd likely need more than that in a presidential campaign — former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romeny, for instance, raised $10 million in one day this month.

In recent weeks Bachmann has suggested supporters donate more money if they want her to run for president rather than the House in 2012.

On Twitter, Bachmann wrote shortly after 10 a.m. that she's raised $20,000 so far today.

Bachmann is set to travel to Iowa Thursday, and then to New Hampshire on Memorial Day, the first-in-the-nation caucus and primary states.
