The House sponsor of the Minnesota Vikings stadium bill said early Saturday morning that if there is a special session, he may hold interim hearings on the stadium issues.

"If we are not wrapped up on Monday, I think that's a very real possibility," said Rep. Morrie Lanning.

He said discussions are going well but are not done.

"There are still things that we need to work out," said Lanning.

He said he would also think about holding hearings on the complicated pension bill.

If those hearings come to pass, members wouldn't have the power to take votes or move bills but they could air issues and the public could hear the discussions. Once the Legislature formally convenes, lawmakers could take votes in committee.
