If you want to bone up on "Little Bee" before the author gets here, head over to Cambridge, Minn. Everyone in town has read the book! Or they're supposed to.

"Little Bee"--Chris Cleave's best-selling novel about the friendship between a Nigerian refugee and a London journalist--is Cambridge's 2011 Community-wide Read Choice. The book discussions will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Cambridge public library, and at 11 a.m. Saturday at Scout & Morgan Books, 114 Buchanan St. N..

And then on May 10, the author himself will be in Cambridge to talk about the book, as well as his previous novel, "Incendiary," which is newly released in paperback. He'll sign books at Scout & Morgan from 3 to 4 p.m., and then deliver a talk at 7 p.m. at Cambridge-Isanti High School, 430 NW 8th Ave. The talk will be followed by a book signing.

It will be Cleave's first stop on his nationwide book tour. A nice coup for Cambridge.
