The centenarian Minnesota Capitol building is acting strange.

As the weather warmed up, mice took up residence under the dome. Despite the best efforts of Capitol engineers, they've thrice been seen in the press corps offices and other spots in the basement. (If you want to join the effort to name the mouse use the hashtag #namethecapitolpressmouse on Twitter. See some of the suggestions here.)

While the yet-to-be-named critter has roamed the halls, the Capitol has also experienced at least two, brief blackouts, plunging all into darkness.

On Tuesday morning, Rep. Debra Hilstrom tweeted: "Currently stuck in the elevator in the State Office Building. Emergency workers on the way." After 24 minutes she tweeted that she escaped: "Made it out of the elevator. In caucus."

What's up at the Capitol?
