Wolves-Chicago game preview

  • March 29, 2011 - 11:24 PM

Preview: Wolves forward Kevin Love participated fully in Tuesday's practice and said he expects to play. "Basically after a week of rest, I feel great," he said. "We'll see how I feel through the day [Wednesday]. I've had a bunch of people mention groins are not something to mess with. I want to make sure that's all good and I'll be able to grind out the rest of the season." Philadelphia ended the Bulls' 14-game home winning streak with a 97-85 victory on Monday night. Until then, they had won 12 of their past 13 and taken control of the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed. Even with Monday's loss, they remain two games ahead of Boston ... The Wolves have lost seven consecutive games, 10 of their past 12 and 18 of 22 after Sunday's 85-82 home loss to Boston ... The Bulls crushed the Wolves 113-82 in Chicago on Dec. 11. They're looking to sweep the season series for the second consecutive year.

Players to watch: Derrick Rose is the only NBA player in the top 10 in scoring (seventh, 25.0) and assists (10th, 7.9). The only other Bull to rank in the top 10 in both categories is Michael Jordan, who did it in 1988-89 with a 32.5 point scoring average and eight assists a game ... Bulls forward Carlos Boozer and center Joakim Noah have missed 54 games between them this season. The Bulls are 18-5 when they've taken the court together.

Did you know? The Bulls' 53 victories are their most since the 1997-98 season (62-20).

Injuries: Love (groin) said he expects to play, C Nikola Pekovic (strained hip) is doubtful.
