ARCHBISHOP HARRY FLYNN Born: May 2, 1933, in Schenectady, N.Y.

Education: Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y.; Mount St. Mary's Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md.

Career: Ordained in Albany, N.Y., 1960. Associate pastor, pastor, teacher and spiritual leader in the Diocese of Albany. Dean, vice rector and rector of Mount St. Mary's Seminary. Bishop of the Diocese of Lafayette, La. Named coadjutor archbishop for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in 1994. Succeeded Archbishop John Roach the following year.
