Favre remains doubtful for Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA -- The Vikings held a walkthrough at the Eagles facility Monday morning. Afterward, Coach Leslie Frazier gave an update at the team's hotel.

Frazier said quarterback Brett Favre still has not passed the initial part of his concussion test and remains doubtful for Tuesday's game.

"He’s still having trouble with the initial test, which leads you to believe it’s going to be very, very difficult today to do anything other than where he is right now," Frazier said.

Favre still must pass a conditioning portion of the test too before he would be cleared to play so Frazier didn't seem optimistic that he will available against the Eagles. Favre suffered a concussion on a sack in the second quarter against the Chicago Bears last Monday.

"That concussion is such a tenuous deal that we’ll see what happens (Monday)," Frazier said. "But there is a battery of tests that he still has to pass that he hasn’t passed, so it’s hard to change his status right now."

Adrian Peterson was listed on the final injury report as questionable because of a right knee injury. Frazier remained optimistic that Peterson will be able to play.

"Adrian, I don’t think he’ll change very much, but he should be better," Frazier said. "This rest should help him -- that’s what we’re hoping."

Safety Madieu Williams also was questionable after suffering a concussion last week. Frazier said Williams has made some progress and has passed part of his concussion test so he might be available Tuesday.

"We do have to take a look at Madieu Williams and we’re trying to determine if he’s made any progress, so we’re going to look at that again (Monday), so that may change," he said. "He has passed the first stage and we still have to get him past a couple other things before we can say he’d be available to play."
