Awaiting a stadium update

Although the Vikings would like to play next Monday night's game against Chicago in TCF Bank Stadium if the Metrodome isn't ready, there has been no official announcement today on where the game will be held.
The Vikings don't want to lose another home date and the franchise has festivities planned to celebrate its 50th season in Minnesota. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also is scheduled to be in town for Sunday's game.
Vikings officials have been in discussions today about the next step and it would seem logical that an announcement would come either today or Wednesday morning.
Scott Ellison, university associate athletic director in charge of facilities and event management, told Chip on Monday that removing snow from TCF Bank Stadium would take five to six days. Ellison inspected the stadium on Monday and said there are 4- to 5-foot snow drifts on the field, in the stands and in the concourses.
"Looking at what we have over there now, it would take us all this week to get the snow out," Ellison said.
On another note, Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier will hold his day-after-game news conference at 3 p.m.
