You really didn't think things could remain calm around Winter Park for three weeks in a row did you?

Not this season.

The television trucks are back and this week will be spent debating whether Brett Favre will be able to play through a shoulder sprain he suffered on his first pass in Sunday's game against Buffalo. Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier, who is handling the situation perfectly, said Tuesday in a radio interview that Favre won't practice today and will give it a go Thursday.

Favre also is scheduled to address the media before today's practice. (His news conference will come right after Frazier's.) Keep in mind, Favre not practicing on a Wednesday has been common since he suffered a stress fracture in his left ankle and another fracture in his left heel on Oct. 24 at Green Bay.

Frazier's best move in this situation was made on Monday when he said that if Favre can start he will start and that the decision would be made by the doctors and Favre. That puts the ball in Favre's court and while this story will be a big one -- no matter how tired of it some people might be -- I have to believe that everybody who has followed Favre's career is going to simply wait until Sunday at noon to see what happens.
