'Frivolous' challenges? Judge for yourself

Here are some of the ballots challenged by volunteers for GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer that Hennepin County elections officials have deemed to be frivolous. The challengers contend that hundreds of ballots in the county shouldn't be counted for DFLer Mark Dayton. Officials call them frivolous because they clearly, if imperfectly, show a voter's intent. Members of the state Canvassing Board may review these ballots when they meet later this month.
