Some good news to pass along from Justin Morneau. The Twins first baseman, who suffered a concussion July 7 and didn't return last season, has resumed his workouts.

"The road to recovery is going well," Morneau wrote in an e-mail to the Star Tribune. "I started working out again this week, and I am feeling pretty good. It has been a long and frustrating road, but feels good to be able to function normally on a day-to-day basis.

"The first couple of workouts have gone well, and I am sure I will be more than over-anxious to get spring training and the season started once February rolls around."

Morneau will be signing autographs Saturday from 11 a.m. -- 12 p.m., at the Twins Majestic Clubhouse Store at Target Field. As part of Morneau's Winter Warm-Up Coat Drive, those who donate a coat will receive 15 percent off an in-store purchase.

Morneau will be wearing the Twins' new alternate road uniform (see right, only his will be No. 33, of course). I've been told that will be the Twins' only uniform change this offseason.

In case you missed it, I did a Hot Stove chat earlier. There were some great questions, so click here for the transcript. Also, check back to StarTribune.com later tonight for some more Twins jottings. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (with safe travels, etc.).
