A St. Paul voter reported that he was asked for part of his Social Security number when he registered to vote at the Baker Community Center this morning. Here's the exchange he said he had with an election judge:
I ran this situation by Ramsey County Elections Manager Joe Mansky. He said the voters registration card requires either a driver's license number OR the last four digits of your Social Security number. Under no circumstances would a voter need to provide their entire Social Security number, Mansky said.
