Eight of the Twins past nine games have been decided by one run, so their relievers have had plenty of high-stress outings. After Monday's 5-4 victory over Kansas City, Manager Ron Gardenhire noted a few things that could help keep the relievers share the load:
- LH Brian Fuentes (lower-back stiffness) is ready to throw a bullpen session Tuesday.
- LH Jose Mijares (right knee surgery) will throw a simulated game in Cleveland next weekend.
- LH Glen Perkins and RH Pat Neshek have been promoted from Class AAA Rochester, as expected, and will be in the bullpen on Tuesday.
