A fire at the 74,000-barrel-a-day Marathon Refinery in St. Paul Park was extinguished Wednesday afternoon with no injuries reported, according to a company spokesman. The company did not describe the fire or what caused it other than to say it was contained on the property. A call to the St. Paul Park Fire Department for assistance was made at approximately 2:45 p.m., but those units were not needed, according to company spokesman Robert Calmus.
