When Nick Punto appeared to dive into second base last night, many of us in the pressbox scratched our heads. We know the dude likes to dive into first base, but second base.

``The only acceptable reason for that," I said to Joe C. ``is that he blew out his hammy again and fell on the bag."

Sure enough, that's what happened to Punto on the play, and now he's landed back on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring.

To replace him on the roster, the Twins have recalled Matt Tolbert from Class AAA Rochester. Tolbert is batting .283 in 42 games with the Red Wings. In 23 games with the Twins this season, Tolbert is batting .217.

Joe C. will have more on this from the park.

In case you haven't read this yet, Torii Hunter talks about his role in making Target Field happen. I do believe that a good team makes it easier to get funding for a ballpark, and the Twins of the early 2000's definitely laid the foundation for their current success. Not just Hunter, but Koskie, Ortiz, Radke, Mientkiewicz and others.

I'll be on with KFAN's Dan Barreiro at 4 p.m. today at Smalley's 87 Club to talk Twins, Stop by or tune in!
