Gophers at a glance: The Gophers (13-6, 2-3 Big Ten) are looking to end a two-game skid, the most recent of which was a disappointing 84-63 home loss Sunday against Nebraska. It won't be easy at Penn State, the only team in the Big Ten without a conference loss this year. Gophers guard Rachel Banham is the No. 2 scorer in the Big Ten at 20.3 ppg, but she has struggled with her shooting in conference play. After going 6-for-21 against Nebraska, she is only 30-for-97 (30.9 percent) from the field in five Big Ten games. Overall, Minnesota is shooting 44.6 percent from the field as a team this season, good for the 19th-best mark in the country.

Lady Lions at a glance: Penn State (15-2, 5-0) is ranked No. 8 in the country by both the Associated Press and coaches. The Lady Lions also are undefeated at home this season. Junior guard Maggie Lucas leads the way on offense, scoring 19.8 ppg and making 55 of 105 (52.4 percent) of her three-point attempts this season. Five other players average between 7.5 and 12.9 points for Penn State, which is outscoring opponents by 18.5 ppg on the season. The Lady Lions score 74.4 ppg, tops in the Big Ten. The Gophers are second at 72.2.
