J.J. Barea was mad at himself.

He made that very clear after walking out of the shower and limping his way to his locker after the Wolves' victory over Orlando Wednesday night.

"Terrible play," he said. "I just saw the ball and I went after it."

The Wolves were up 20 with 8:39 left when Barea chased a ball going out of bounds and ran into the scorer's table and bending his left foot. The result: A mid-foot sprain. We won't know until after Thursday's practice how many games -- if any -- Barea will miss.

"It's just a little sprain," Barea insisted. "I left the game to make sure nothing would get worse.... Just bad luck. And I have to live with it."

The Wolves will be hoping for a speedy recovery. Barea has been a valuable part in each of the Wolves' three victories; his play at the end of the third quarter and into the fourth helped turn a relatively close game into a yawner. But now we have to figure out how what his running into the scorer's table will cost.

"It's short term, I'm hoping," he said. "It will be a little sore tonight. Hopefully (Thursday) it will be better and we'll go from there. It's a lot of ice, a lot of treatment."

Other thoughts after Wednesday's victory:

--This was the Wolves' third victory by double digits this season.

--Who would have thought Greg Stiemsma would be this much of an offensive contributor? His run at the end of the third quarter gave the Wolves the push they needed to put this game away. Steamer had 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes.

--Luke Ridnour scored in double figures for the first time this season, getting a game-high 19 points on 6-for-9 shooting. He ht on three of four three-pointers and had three assists.

--Six Wolves players had a block, including Ridnour.

--Brandon Roy continues to struggle with his shot. He was 1-for-6 Wednesday, but made up for it with nine assists. Still, through four games, Roy is shooting 8-for-30.

That's about all for now. Jerry Zgoda will be with the team at tomorrow's practice and will update you on Barea.
