Gov. Mark Dayton on Tuesday signed 17 pieces of legislation into law, including an agriculture policy bill, new insurance requirements for ride-sharing companies such as Uber and Lyft, and the acceptance by law enforcement of digital proof of insurance.

The 17 bills were largely noncontroversial, having passed both chambers unanimously. Among the other new laws are labor agreement ratifications for Minnesota State University's Administrative and Service Faculty, Minnesota State College Faculty, Minnesota Nurses Association, InferFaculty Organization and the Minnesota Law Enforcement Association.

A previous version of this post incorrectly reported the agriculture and labor measures were budget measures; they were policy changes.
