Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, will travel to Minneapolis today to attend Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and host an event celebrating teachers, the White House announced.

Biden will meet with "All Star Teachers" drawn from each of the 30 Major League markets at a ceremony Tuesday afternoon, and then watch the game with them and their guests.

Minnesota's representative is Shakopee High School calculus teacher and softball coach Neil Johnson. According to a bio posted on mlb.com, the lifelong Minnesota Twins fan has served as the school's math department chairman for 20 years.

Biden will also join the teachers during the All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade down Nicollet Mall.
