Lawmakers return to the Minnesota Capitol tomorrow for their 2014 legislative session.

Democrats who control the House and Senate have just a few major goals -- pass a borrowing bill, raise the minimum wage and figure out what to do with the extra money in the state coffers. But a host of other ideas will come up and some will become law.

Given what is supposed to be the brevity of this year's session, lawmakers are starting the mad dash to the closing gavel by filling up their first day back with activity.
