Abortion opponants gathered in the state Capitol rotunda Wednesday on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

Ralliers chanted "Who loves babies. You love babies" back and forth on the second floor of the Capitol before the start of the program.

GOP congressional candidate Stuart Mills, center, who plans to run against Rep. Rick Nolan in the 8th congressional district, stood with legislators at the rally. On the left is Marty Siefert Republican candidate for governor.

State Sen. Sean R. Nienow, R-Cambridge, stood toward the back of the Rotunda before the rally. He and his wife have been sued and are accused of failing to make payments for the past 3½ years on a loan they took out from the Small Business Administration.

Legislators belted out "Amazing Grace" during the rally.
