The St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce has released the 2012 Civic Engagement Guide, which aims to be a one-stop shop for voters and an aid to engage St. Paul and east metro businesses.

The online resource has information on local elections, with a focus on the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners.

"As business leaders and voters research the campaigns, they will be able to use this guide [to] easily compare where [candidates] stand on the issues important to keeping and growing jobs in our community," said Matt Kramer, chamber president. He noted that local races often get "lost in the noise" during presidential election years.

Ramsey County board candidates completed personal profiles and filled out questionnaires on issues pertaining to the business community. The guide also includes links to the candidates' websites and social media.

The guide serves Ramsey, Dakota and Washington counties and is available at www.startribune.com/a1584.
