Gustavus asks 25 in governor's race to forum

Last update: October 28, 2009 - 9:01 PM

The 25 men and women who want to be Minnesota's next governor have been invited to share a stage in St. Peter next month.

Gustavus Adolphus College has scheduled a gubernatorial forum to be held Nov. 9. It will be held at 7 p.m. at the college's student union.

Invitations were sent to the 25 candidates who are registered as potential candidates for governor with the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.

According to the college, among those who have confirmed they will attend are DFLers Margaret Anderson-Kelliher, Tom Bakk, Susan Gaertner, John Marty and Tom Rukavina; Republican Leslie Davis; Green Party candidate Peter Roess, and Grassroots Party candidate Chris Wright.

The forum, which will focus in part on higher education issues, is free and open to the public.
