NDSU skit featured black-faced Obama actor getting lap dance
FARGO -- North Dakota State University officials are investigating a skit in which a black-faced white student portrayed Barack Obama receiving a lap dance.
Presidents of the NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club and sorority Alpha Gamma Delta publicly apologized for the skit at an NDSU town hall meeting this week.
NDSU says a hearing officer will decide whether the groups should be punished.
Those in the audience said a member of the club dressed as a woman from the Internet video "I Got a Crush on Obama" and performed for another student who was wearing dark makeup and an afro wig.
The Fargo Forum, citing people who attended the performance, reported that in the background were two male students dressed as cowboys simulating anal sex while holding an Obama sign that one student ripped when the 30-second skit ended.
Club President Jenna Schmidt said the students were trying to reenact a YouTube video and did not mean to be offensive.
Obama is to speak at the state Democrats' convention in Grand Forks next week.

I WAS THERE!
I actually attended the Mr NDSU competition, where the skit took place and I could not believe it when I heard that people were actually … read more upset by it....IT WAS A SKIT, A JOKE... All they were doing was mocking the Youtube video, and seeing as how most students go on Youtube on a regular basis, everyone knew that all it was. And as far as the booing in the crowd goes, that so untrue...I was there and noone booed, most people saw it for what it was, A JOKE and laughed it off. As far as the issue of the girl as a guy and the cowboys in the back, pretty much every single skit involved sexual situations or guys dressed as girl etc. ITS A COLLEGE CAMPUS, what do you expect?? I really dont think it was a big deal, at all.
