On his second to last Friday radio show, Gov. Tim Pawlenty Friday was asked if he was a little "sad" that he won't have a four year term with a Legislature completely controlled by Republicans.

Through a laugh the Republican governor quietly said: "I kind of am."

He said his message of government living within its means seems to have caught on.

"Maybe I was just a little bit ahead of my time in Minnesota. Had I known there was going to be a Republican Legislature, ah, things would be maybe, probably, would have been different," Pawlenty said.
