Minnesota's U.S. Senators will get some face time with President Obama as the president travels to Minnesota Saturday.
Sen. Al Franken, a Democrat who was sworn in July, will accompany Obama on Air Force One, according to Franken spokeswoman Jess McIntosh, as will Sen. Amy Klobuchar, also a Democrat, according to her spokesman, Ross Corson.
Obama will fly to Minnesota Saturday morning for a rally at Minneapolis' Target Center in the afternoon. According to the White House, the president will "discuss what's at stake for the American people in this debate - why we need health insurance reform and why we need to act now."
Admission to the rally will be on a first come-first serve basis and attendees will face "airport-like" security.
