State Canvassing Board reschedules Tuesday meeting for noon

Last update: December 15, 2008 - 6:22 PM

The state Canvassing Board has rescheduled its key Tuesday meeting for noon, citing the need for time to process the withdrawal of ballot challenges by the campaigns of Sen. Norm Coleman and challenger Al Franken.

The five-member board's central task when it convenes will be to award some 1,500 remaining disputed votes that could determine the outcome of the recount in Minnesota's protracted Senate race.
