1,566 Barack Obama's delegates

1,462 Hillary Rodham Clinton's

2,025 needed for nomination

611 pledged delegates remaining in 12 contests

12 Delegate-gain Clinton won Tuesday overall; 12 are still to be awarded.

WHERE THINGS STAND

The coming weeks will be shaped by the courtship of superdelegates amid concerns about a deadlocked convention in August. The Wall Street Journal reported that at this pace, it is mathematically improbable for either Democrat to secure the delegates necessary to lock up the nomination before the convention.
