Minnesota voters should expect a visit from a Clinton before the state's Feb. 5 caucuses.
That was the word Wednesday from Guy Cecil, the national political and field director of Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. Whether voters see the senator or former President Bill Clinton is yet to be worked out.
With 88 Democratic convention delegates on the line, Minnesota is a moderate-sized fish in the Super Tuesday primary pond. Nearly two dozen states are holding primaries or caucuses Feb. 5, including New York, Illinois, New Jersey and delegate-rich California.
Cecil says Clinton's campaign has signed up thousands of volunteers and is building a phone bank operation in Minnesota.
Clinton's chief Democratic rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards also have made Minnesota visits in the past six months.
