Congressional candidates in Minnesota are raising money at a handsome clip, according to the latest reports to the Federal Election Commission.
Reports on the third quarter of the year aren't due until midnight Monday, but some candidates have already filed their numbers for the period.
Here's this year's fundraising through Sept. 30 that has been reported so far by incumbents and challengers in Minnesota's congressional delegation.
First District: Republican hopeful Randy Demmer, a state representative from Hayfield, reported raising $150,837, which included $115,000 he lent to himself.
He's one of four Republicans who hope to knock off freshman Rep. Tim Walz.
Second District: Republican incumbent Rep. John Kline raised $471,251 and has already spent $210,884.
Kline received about $288,000 in individual donations and about $180,000 from political action committees (PACs). He now has more than $312,000 in cash on hand.
Third District: State Sen. Terri Bonoff raised $88,500 in what is expected to be a wide-open race to succeed retiring Rep. Jim Ramstad.
Fourth District: Democratic incumbent Rep. Betty McCollum reported raising $212,012.
Her donations were almost evenly split between individuals, who gave her about $107,000, and PACs, which gave her about $104,000. She reported having more than $117,000 in cash on hand.
