Some businesses in downtown St. Paul closed early this afternoon, fearing traffic disruptions because of large numbers of people who were expected to march from the State Capitol to the Xcel Energy Center.
Travelers Insurance, U.S. Bank and many other business either shut their doors between noon and 1 p.m. or told employees they could go home early with their manager's permission.
The Ramsey County Juvenile and Family Justice Center closed early, but the main courthouse on Kellogg Boulevard planned to be open normal hours.
